So my first costume for 2012, a USO Girl from Captain America which I made and wore to the Sydney Avengers movie screening on April 25th. I'm sorry I've been so quiet over here, I don't do all too much costuming anymore and my first convention for the year isn't until mid-June (Sydnova), in which I'll be rewearing this costume (marvel one day, DC the next).

In making this costume a huge thank you goes firstly to the worldwide USO Girls Costuming Group for all the help and for letting me join their ranks, to my mother who helped to pin-curl my hair the night before I wore this costume, and lastly to *strawdoll for being such a lovely photographer and for doing this shoot with me.

Is there any way to find this pattern? I've been looking everywhere and everyone leads me to the facebook page which is either gone or just... that hard to get into. Could you help me figure out how to get it?

Atm I really can't remember (pattern box is packed away), but your best bet is to visit your local sewing shop and look at formal dress patterns and try to find something with a similar bodice.
